Ahoy, water lovers! At Shipwreck Island Waterpark, every visit is a chance to make waves, chase thrills, and cool off with your crew. Whether you’re coasting down slides or drifting along the lazy river, we want every guest to enjoy a safe, smooth-sailing experience.

To help you have the best day ever, we’ve put together a few easy tips. Think of this as your treasure map for fun—it leads to a day full of memories, smiles, and sunshine. And remember: safety is the real treasure, and it’s something we all protect together!

Choose Bold Swimsuits

Help your little castaways stand out by dressing them in bright, bold swimwear. Neon pinks, oranges, reds, and greens make it easier to spot kids in the water. Try to avoid light blues and neutrals—they tend to blend in with the pool.

Also, be sure everyone’s wearing waterpark-friendly swimwear. No buckles, rivets, or metal—those can damage slides and aren’t safe for water attractions.

🛟 Life Jackets: We’ve Got You Covered

You’ll find complimentary Coast Guard–approved life jackets throughout the park, and you’re welcome to bring your own. Certain areas—like the wave pool—require them for younger or less experienced swimmers. Not sure what size your child needs? Just ask a crew member—we’re happy to help!

👀 Eyes on Deck

Our certified lifeguards are trained to monitor the water with focus and care. But keeping kids safe is a shared responsibility. Parents, guardians, and chaperones play a key role in supervision—especially in and around water.

🌊 Shipwreck Tip: Visiting with a group? Designate a rotating “Water Watcher”—an adult who commits to actively watching the kids in the water while others grab a snack or take a break. Trade off every 30 minutes to stay fresh and focused!

👫 Stick with a Buddy

Whether they’re riding the slides or splashing in the shallows, everyone should stick with a buddy. It’s a simple way to make sure no one is ever swimming alone—and that everyone stays safe and accounted for.

🎒 Group Leaders: Chaperones should stay with their groups throughout the day. Keeping kids together means smoother communication, better supervision, and more fun for everyone.

🏝 Ride the Right Way

Every attraction at Shipwreck Island is built for big fun—and comes with important rules to keep guests safe. Please follow all posted height restrictions and safety instructions, and check with our crew if you’re unsure about a ride.

Here are a few key reminders:

  • No diving or jumping into pools—feet first only!
  • Use ladders or stairs to enter and exit the water.
  • Follow lifeguard directions and always wait your turn.

☀️ Beat the Burn

A sunny day is part of the fun—but make sure you’re protected. Apply waterproof sunscreen before arriving, and reapply often—especially after swimming. Hats, rash guards, and sunglasses are great additions, too!

🌴 Shipwreck Tip: Want to cool off in style? Reserve a cabana for a shady spot to relax, recharge, and regroup with your crew throughout the day.

💧 Stay Hydrated, Stay Happy

Between the excitement and the sun, it’s easy to forget to hydrate. Be sure to drink water throughout the day and take short breaks in the shade to keep the good vibes going strong.
