Terms & Conditions for Shipwreck Island's Water & Adventure Park
Park Policies and Safety Regulations are enforced for the safety and comfort of our guests. Adherence to park policies is necessary for park admittance. These policies enable our guests to have a safe, fun, and family-friendly experience.
1. Admission & Ticketing
- Children age 2 and under are admitted FREE of charge. The park reserves the right to request proof of age in the event of a discrepancy.
- Any individual 18 years of age or older is considered an adult for ticketing purposes.
- Admission is required for ALL guests entering the park — including non-participating spectators.
- Tickets and Season Passes are available for purchase online in advance or at the admissions gate on the day of your visit. Online purchase is encouraged for the best value and faster entry.
- -Prices and operating schedule are subject to change without notice.
- -All attractions are subject to temporary maintenance, safety or inclement weather shutdowns.
Military, Medical & First Responder Discount
Shipwreck Island offers a discounted admission rate to active military members, veterans, doctors, nurses, and first responders. Valid ID or proof of service/employment is required at time of purchase.
2. Refund & Non-Refundable Purchase Policy
- All ticket and Season Pass purchases are final and non-refundable once the transaction is complete, regardless of circumstances — including personal plans, weather, or unused time in the park.
- No cash refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
- For weather-related closures, please refer to our Rain Check Guarantee policy.
- Unprocessed Season Passes (still in voucher/e-ticket form and not yet exchanged for a pass card) may be transferred to another individual prior to activation.
3. Rain Check & Weather Policy
- We’re open rain or shine. Overcast days often mean shorter lines and more fun!
- If pools and waterslides are closed due to inclement weather (including lightning) for more than one (1) consecutive hour during your visit, guests who retain their admission ticket or purchase confirmation will receive a complimentary return admission valid during the current operating season.
- To receive your rain check, visit Guest Services before exiting the park for the day. Rain checks will not be issued after guests leave the property.
- If weather clears and attractions reopen within one (1) hour, no rain check will be issued.
- Season Pass holders are not eligible for rain check admissions, as passes include unlimited visits throughout the season.
- No cash refunds will be issued for weather-related closures under any circumstances.
4. Cashless Payment Policy
- All of our parks operate on a cashless basis. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) as well as mobile payment methods including Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- Guests who arrive with cash may convert it to a reloadable prepaid card at no charge using our Cash-to-Card kiosks located throughout the park and near the admissions entrance.
- Going cashless allows our team to spend more time serving guests, reduces wait times at food and retail locations, and creates a safer environment for everyone.
- For assistance with payment questions, please visit Guest Services.
5. Re-Entry Policy
- Guests are welcome to exit and re-enter the park on the same day of their visit.
- Before exiting, guests must obtain a hand stamp from a team member at the exit gate. Upon return, guests must present their hand stamp and original admission ticket or Season Pass to re-enter through the Main Gate.
- Day admission tickets are valid for the duration of the operating day on the date of purchase. They are not valid across multiple days.
- Note: Parking fees are not included in re-entry — guests who leave the parking lot may be subject to an additional parking fee upon return.
6. Outside Food & Beverage Policy
- Outside food, beverages, coolers, and ice chests are not permitted inside the park.
- Glass containers of any kind are strictly prohibited throughout the park.
- Infant formula and baby food may be brought in for the child they are intended for. All bottles and containers must be plastic — no glass.
- Cakes may be brought in exclusively for booked, pre-paid birthday party packages.
- Guests with dietary restrictions that cannot be accommodated by the food and beverage options available for purchase inside the park are welcome to exit and re-enter the park as needed.
- Outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Alcohol is available for purchase at designated locations within the park for guests 21 and over with valid ID.
7. Dress Code & Attire Policy
- Proper swimwear is required for all rides, slides, and pool areas.
- Prohibited on all rides and in all pools:
- Street clothes, including cotton t-shirts
- Cut-off jeans or denim shorts of any kind
- Swimwear or clothing with metal rivets, buckles, grommets, spikes, or belts
- Thong, G-string, cheeky, or overly revealing swimwear
- Sheer, mesh, or see-through garments worn as swimwear or cover-ups
- Fins, snorkels, or masks
- Shoes and footwear are not permitted on slides or tube rides. Water shoes are welcome on walkways and in pool areas.
- Jewelry that is bulky, protruding, or may snag on equipment (large hoop earrings, long necklaces, piercings) should be removed or secured before riding.
- Park staff reserve the right to ask guests to change or remove any attire that presents a safety concern.
8. Smoking & Vaping Policy
- Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes or any tobacco product is prohibited throughout the park, including all ride areas, dining areas, restrooms, and Cabanas.
- Designated smoking areas are located outside of the park. Signage will direct you to the nearest designated area.
- The possession and use of marijuana, cannabis products, and all illicit substances is strictly prohibited anywhere on park property, regardless of local laws.
- Guests who do not comply with this policy may be asked to leave the park without refund.
9. Life Jackets & Flotation Devices
- U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are available to all guests at no charge. Life jackets are stocked throughout the park near major attractions and wave pools.
- Guests are also welcome to bring their own USCG-approved life jacket.
- Life jackets are strongly recommended for children under 48 inches tall and for weak or non-swimmers. Life jackets are required for guests under 48 inches tall on certain designated attractions — signage at each attraction indicates where this rule applies.
- When selecting a life jacket, refer to the weight range printed on the inside of the jacket to choose the correct size. Use all buckles, clips, and straps as designed.
- Only USCG-approved life jackets are permitted. Inflatable pool toys, arm floats, inflatable swim suits, and non-approved flotation devices are not permitted on any ride or in any pool.
10. Minor Supervision Policy
- Children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult (age 18 or older) at all times while in the park.
- We strongly recommend that all guests under the age of 18 be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout their visit.
- Parents and guardians are solely responsible for evaluating which attractions are appropriate for the children in their care based on each child’s swim ability, size, and comfort level.
- Adults may not hold infants or young children while riding any attraction.
- The park does not page or broadcast announcements for lost guests. In the event of separation, please visit the nearest Guest Services location or find a team member for assistance. We recommend designating a central meeting spot before you begin your visit.
- The park does not assume responsibility or liability for unattended minors.
11. Swim Diaper Policy
- For the health and safety of all guests, children who are not fully toilet-trained are required to wear a properly fitted swim diaper on all rides, in all pools, and throughout all aquatic areas.
- Regular diapers are not acceptable substitutes for swim diapers.
- Swim diapers should not be changed on pool decks, walkways, lounge chairs, or in any public area. All restrooms in the park are equipped with diaper-changing stations.
- Swim diapers are available for purchase at the park gift shop if needed.
12. Camera & Recording Device Policy
- For the safety of all guests, personal recording devices — including cell phones, cameras, GoPros, action cameras, and any other photography or video equipment — are not permitted on any ride, slide, or attraction.
- Violations of this policy are grounds for removal from the attraction and, at the park’s discretion, ejection from the park without refund.
- By entering the park, guests consent to being photographed or filmed by park staff for operational and promotional purposes.
13. Parking Policy
- Paid parking is required for all guests. Standard and VIP parking options are available. Current parking rates are published on each park’s Tickets & Deals page and at the parking booth on the day of your visit.
